Date: January 29, 2024

Columbia County, along with the Columbia County School District, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia County Chamber Foundation, will host the fourth annual Columbia County CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) Workforce Showcase Competition next month.

The third annual CTAE Workforce Showcase Competition was held in December 2022 and had over 200 students competing in various pathways from the five local high schools. The pathways that were represented included agriculture, audio visual, automotive, business, culinary, cyber, engineering, fire services, graphic design, health sciences, law enforcement, marketing, ROTC, teaching and welding.

This showcase allows students to demonstrate skills learned in the classroom or other respective settings to local businesses. Students can engage with local businesses outside of the classroom and learn about potential employment opportunities available beyond high school graduation.

The event will be held on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8:30 a.m. in the multipurpose facility at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Complex. More details will be available closer to the date.
