Well over 100 family members, classmates and community members gathered Monday evening at Platt’s Funeral Home in Evans to celebrate the life of Aiden Hyunkyung Lee, who tragically passed away at the age of 11.

Aiden, a Harlem Middle School student, was remembered for his kindness, creativity and his message to “Spread the Love.”

He played trombone in the school band, loved soccer and Legos, and created a Roblox game called Spread the Love to encourage friendship and positivity online.

Guests arriving for the service received small keepsake bags containing a blue awareness ribbon, a wristband reading “Spread the Love,” and a sticker featuring digital artwork of Aiden and his cat alongside the hashtag #ForAidenLee.

Each item reflected the phrase that has come to define his legacy.

“Aiden always made everyone feel welcome,” said one of his friends during the service. “He was the kind of person who’d sit with you when you were alone at lunch.”

Following the service, a visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., giving friends and family time to share memories and offer condolences to Aiden’s parents.

The family has created a GoFundMe to honor his legacy at gofund.me/6915c8bcc
