Two victims in a Jan. 14 shooting have been identified.

Raven Michelle Tolbert, 27, and Mercedes Nora Shanice Gibson, 27, both of the 2500 block of Hammond Avenue, off U.S. Highway 25, were shot at least one time, according to an email from Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen, who pronounced them dead at 7:27 p.m. Friday.

Richmond County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene around 5:40 p.m. in regards to the shooting. In an email Friday from Sgt. William McCarty, the sheriff’s office public information officer, deputies found the two victims, plus a third who was shot and transported to Augusta University Medical Center for treatment. The condition of the third victim is unknown.

McCarty’s email said the incident was believed to be a domestic dispute, but he did not provide any information on a possible suspect.

The bodies have been sent Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsies.
