A total of 239 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office May 11-17.
Violent crimes included one robbery and 70 assaults. Among those assaults were five reported aggravated assaults and 30 cases of family violence battery.

Property crimes reported during the week included 15 burglaries, 37 vehicle break-ins, and 46 cases of property damage. There were 56 theft cases reported include the theft of seven vehicles. The keys were left inside unlocked vehicles in two of those cases.
