During the week of Aug. 30- Sept. 5, a total of 117 crimes were tracked by The Augusta Press which were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included a total of 40 cases of assault of which three were classified as aggravated. Five of those were classified as battery, and 12 as family violence.
There were 52 cases of larceny, 22 were related to vehicles and 12 cases of property damage
