During the week of July 5 – July 11, a total of 228 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included a total of 71 cases of assault. Eight of those were classified as aggravated assaults, and 25 as family violence.
Property crimes included 16 burglaries, 45 cases of property damage, and 54 cases of theft.
