Crime Map: More than 230 crimes reported in Richmond County for the week of May 4-10

The Augusta Press tracked a total of 235 crimes reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for the week of May 4-10.

In the violent crime category, no homicides were reported, but there were three armed robberies, one carjacking and one home invasion. There were also 74 assaults reported, five of which were aggravated assaults and 29 were family violence battery assaults.

Property crimes reported during the week included 12 burglaries, 22 vehicle break-ins and 50 cases of property damage. A total of 53 thefts were reported, including the thefts of eight vehicles, six of which were stolen after keys were left inside.
