Crime map: More than 256 crimes tracked in Richmond County June 29-July 5

A total of 256 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the week of June 29 to July 5, including one homicide.

Just after 2 a.m. on June 30, another young man was found shot to death in Augusta. The victim was 22-year-old Thaddeus R. Price. He was found with at least one gunshot wound at Sycamore Drive and Alpine Road.

Other violent crimes during the week included one home invasion, a kidnapping and 85 assaults, eight of which were aggravated assault and 28 were family violence batteries.

Property crimes during the week included 19 burglaries, 51 thefts and 34 cases of property damage. There were also 36 vehicle break-ins during the week.
