Crime map: More than 290 crimes committed in Richmond County week of May 18-24

During the week of May 18-24, 299 crimes tracked by the Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

In violent crimes, there were three robberies, only one of which was an armed robbery. There was a total of 83 assaults, seven of which were aggravated assaults and 36 of them were family violence battery calls.

In property crime, there were 21 burglaries, and 43 vehicles were broken into. There was a total of 70 thefts including 13 vehicle thefts. There were also 46 cases of property damage reported.
