Crime map: More than 70 assaults committed during week of Nov. 30

A total of 176 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the week of Nov. 30 through Dec. 6.

Violent crimes included one armed robbery, two robberies without use of a weapon and 73 assaults. Six of the assaults were classified as aggravated assaults, including one against a victim over the age of 65. There were also 23 cases of family violence battery reported during the week.

Property crimes included nine burglaries, 23 cases of property damage, 14 vehicle break-ins, and 43 reported thefts.
