The killing of a 16-year-old girl was included in crimes tracked by The Augusta Press that were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office from July 27 to Aug. 2.

Sheriff officers were called to the parking lot of the Economy Inn at 3061 Deans Bridge Road on July 27. Kaymaya Greene, 16, had been shot to death.

Other violent crimes reported during the week include a total of 86 assaults, 12 of which were aggravated assault, and another 27 were cases of family violence battery. Two armed robberies were also reported during the week.

Property crimes included 12 burglaries, 42 cases of property damage, and 43 thefts. Reports of 17 vehicle break-ins were also filed during the week.
