The 230 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press that were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the week of July 20-26 included the homicide of Keshia C. Geter, 26.

Geter was shot to death July 20 at the Knights Inn on Boy Scout Road. Jaquarie Allen, 22, has been charged with murder in her death, the third slaying of a transgender female in three years in Augusta.

Other violent crimes during the week included three armed robberies, and 82 assault. Eight of the assaults were aggravated assaults and 26 were cases of family violence battery.

Property crimes reported during the week included nine burglaries, 37 cases of property damage and 19 vehicle break-ins. There were also 63 thefts reported, including the theft of 10 vehicles.
