During the week of Aug. 2 – 8, a total of 199 crimes were tracked by The Augusta Press which were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included a total of 55 cases of assault of which three were classified as aggravated. Twenty one of those were classified as battery, and 16 as family violence.
There were 66 cases of larceny, 20 were related to vehicles and 50 cases of property damage.
