During the week of July 24 – August 2, a total of 230 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Violent crimes included a total of 68 cases of assault of which 8 were classified as aggravated. Eight of those were classified as battery, and 26 as family violence.
There were 90 cases of larceny, 3 vehicle thefts and 33 cases of property damage.
