A total of 220 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office June 1-7.
Violent crimes included 66 assaults, of which nine were aggravated assaults and 27 were family violence batteries. There were also three armed robberies.
Property crimes included 19 burglaries during the week, and 41 cases of property damages. There were reports of 20 vehicle break-ins. And there were 50 thefts reported during the week, including nine vehicular thefts. The keys were left inside five of those vehicles.
