A total of 275 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office during the week of June 22-28.
Violent crimes included three armed robberies, one home invasion and one robbery. There were a total of 76 assaults, seven of which were aggravated or felony level, and 31 cases of family violence battery were reported. Seven reported cases of terroristic threats were also reported during the week.
Property crimes included 14 burglaries, 39 cases of property damage, 27 vehicle break-ins, and 73 thefts, including the theft of 13 vehicles. The keys were left in six of those stolen vehicles.
