A Cross Creek High School student has been arrested after authorities say she sprayed a 15-year-old boy with mace in the school’s parking lot while her young sister was nearby.
De’Asia Chance, 17, was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with simple battery and contributing to the delinquency or dependency of a minor.
School police say the incident occurred around 3 p.m. after dismissal. Investigators allege Chance sprayed her 15-year-old boyfriend with mace and poured water on him outside the school on Old Waynesboro Road in Augusta. Her 4-year-old sister was present in the area during the incident.
Chance was taken into custody and booked into the jail on both charges.
