Crunch Fitness coming to Augusta

Date: December 10, 2024

A new gym is coming to Augusta.

Crunch Fitness is opening a new, $5 million 40,000 square foot facility at the former Bed, Bath & Beyond location in the Augusta Exchange shopping center.

The gym will offer a variety of classes, cardio machines, a large free weight section, babysitting and more. Crunch Fitness says it’s a no judgement zone and offers a gym for everyone, no matter their shape, size, age or fitness level.

“No matter your workout of choice, we want you to feel good while reaching your goals,” according to the website.

Crunch Fitness started in 1989 as a small gym in Greenwich Village in New York City.

“While we believe in the power of fitness to improve lives, we also know exercise is hard work and everyone can use a little more motivation. So we’ve fused fitness and entertainment so that we can make serious exercise fun,” the website said.

An opening date for the Augusta location has not been announced.
