High school students in the CSCRA will have the chance to meet recruiters from more than 100 colleges and universities and compete for $15,000 in scholarships during the 2025 CSRA College Night.
The event will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Augusta Convention Center, according to a press release from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS). Admission and parking are free and open to the public.
“We are excited to continue this tradition that attracts thousands of students and families from Georgia and South Carolina each year,” said Cindy Hewitt, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) education outreach specialist. “With $15,000 in scholarships up for grabs, seminars, career exploration and counseling centers all under one roof, this event is a wonderful resource for students and parents.”
Attendees can connect with colleges, universities, technical schools and local professional societies in fields such as engineering, management and chemical and nuclear science.
Students and parents will have access to financial aid information for Georgia and South Carolina, financial literacy seminars, and guidance from high school advisors and admissions professionals.
Career exploration activities will include a “card sorting” exercise designed to help validate career choices, according to a press release from SRNS.
High school seniors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher can register in person for a chance to win one of fifteen $1,000 scholarships.
Now in its third decade, CSRA College Night has drawn tens of thousands of participants and awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships since 1993.
Sponsors include the U.S. Department of Energy-Savannah River Operations Office, SRNS, SRS Centerra, SRP Federal Credit Union, Aiken County Public School District, Public Education Partners of Aiken County, and iHeart Media Augusta.
