CURE Childhood Cancer’s Holiday Angels program delivered a truckload of gifts to 12 Augusta families at Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia on Dec. 15, bringing holiday cheer to children currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The families received toys and essential items after supporters of the organization fulfilled holiday wish lists for each child.

The Holiday Angels program serves about 150 families across the Southeast, with a mission of spreading joy to children receiving cancer treatment at hospitals, including Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia, according to a press release from Wellstar.

Founded in 1975, CURE Childhood Cancer focuses on conquering childhood cancer through research funding and family support programs.
