Between the recent Soul City Criterium and Sunday’s USAC Collegiate Road National Championship cycling events, an estimated 600 participants and $350,000 in economic impact are expected to be brought into the city, the news release said.

For the safety of the cyclists, deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office will tightly regulate the course.

Spectators are welcome. Those who wish to come and go during race day should park outside of the course as well as use walking access points to the Augusta Common designated by course marshals. The packs of racers will hit speeds of up to 40 mph.
