Dave’s Appliance Warehouse is coming to the Shoppes at Fury’s Ferry, 368 Furys Ferry Rd. Ste 3 in Martinez on June 15.
The appliance warehouse chain already has locations in Statham, Ga, one in Westminster, Calif. and another in Anaheim, Calif.
The company sells most major brand kitchen or laundry appliances and more; some have scratches and dents or are seconds at reduced costs.
“We sell B stock, which is everything other than new ordered appliances such as canceled orders, new open box, scratch and dent, damaged boxes and very few customer returns which we are not supposed to get but a few get snuck in there,” said David Barrett, spokesperson for the company. “Everything comes with a warranty. We will also be selling some high-end brands as well that are only ordered new.”

Once an item is sold in a brick-and-mortar store or online, it becomes a used item. These items find their way back to stores due to return policy rules. Once an item is returned to a store, it becomes “B-stock” (or BStock) and cannot be sold as new.
According to the Dave’s Appliance Warehouse website, customers can save up to 50% on new appliances and up to 60% on open box and scratch and dent appliances.

The company also has smart appliances. According to the website, there are app-controlled appliances with remote starting and stopping and monitoring from your smartphone or tablet. These smart appliances also provide updates about tasks like a finished wash cycle or needing to replace a refrigerator filter.
“Voice-controlled appliances connect to voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. With a quick voice command, you can start the vacuum, ask for updates on dinner, tell your refrigerator to play music and much more,” according to the website.
Dave’s Appliance Warehouse also offers delivery service.
The appliance store will occupy the space that once held Earth Fare, a natural and organic grocery store than closed in 2020 when its parent company closed all locations. Earth Fare had been in the location since 2007. Prior to that, it was the site of a Winn-Dixie grocery store.
