Authorities are investigating a shooting in the 1100 block of Fifth Street.
At around 6 a.m. Tuesday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in reference to a shooting. Upon arriving on the scene, deputies found a female who had been shot at least one time, according to an email from Lt. Glen Rahn, with the sheriff’s office.
As of 7:50 a.m., investigators were still on the scene.
“More information will be forthcoming as it becomes available,” according to the email.
