Richmond County narcotics officers arrested six people and seized over 1,000 fentanyl pills and a stash of guns earlier this month after executing a no-knock warrant on an Augusta home.
Sheriff’s officers also found a preschooler living in a room where officers found an unsecured AK-style pistol, according to authorities. The boy was secured and removed after officers entered the small two-bedroom home on the afternoon of Oct. 4, according to a police report.
The residence was filled with cocaine, marijuana, meth and a stash of over 1,000 fentanyl pills pressed to look like Oxycodone. The influx of fentanyl into the U.S. from Mexican cartels are blamed for killing tens of thousands of Americans, and a Grovetown man was arrested last week for allegedly passing out fentanyl-laced cocaine that killed a party guest.
During the Augusta bust, officers found five guns scattered throughout the drug den, including a Glock pistol on the coffee table, a .40-caliber gun in the kitchen, the AK-style pistol in the child’s room and two more Glock pistols in the hall closet and master bedroom, the police report said. They also confiscated a stash of ammunition, including a bag containing four loaded magazines.

Here are the names of those found in the home and their charges:
• Camillion Jenkins, 17, of Augusta: Trafficking synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute.
• Darious Robinson, 20, of Augusta: Trafficking synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute and weapon possession.
• David Herndon, 20, of Augusta: Trafficking synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute and weapon possession.
• Kahlil Lawrence, 21, of Augusta: Trafficking meth & synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute and weapon possession.
• Thelma Iakopo, 24, of Augusta: Trafficking synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute and weapon possession.
• Tyoma Dishmon, 19, of Blythe, Trafficking synthetic narcotic, possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute and weapon possession.
A suspect identified as Keith Walker is also wanted for obstruction after fleeing from the front of the home when officers first arrived. A second person in the front was questioned and released.
After detaining the six suspects in the home, officers searched the home and immediately saw a bag of about 40 grams of marijuana. They found 1,127 fentanyl pills marked as Oxyodone-30. On a dining room table was a grocery bag with a scale and 13 grams of powder cocaine, according to the report. During a search of Kahlil Lawrence, narcotics officers found about 30 grams of meth.
The discovery comes after Grovetown police locked up a man for trafficking fentanyl and dealing cocaine after a drug-fueled party turned deadly early Thursday.
Johnny Vasquez-Morales, 29, confessed to providing the drugs that killed a man and caused another man to go unconscious at his home on the 300 block of James Street, according to Police Chief Jamey Kitchens. The name of the deceased has not been released.

Once an autopsy is completed and toxicology reports are received, Grovetown investigators will be meeting with the District Attorney’s Office to discuss possible further charges.
