Doctor’s Hospital announces first New Year’s baby of 2024

Editor’s Note: All the staff here at The Augusta Press warmly wish a Happy Birthday to Augusta’s first babies of 2024.

Born at exactly 2:04 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, Augusta’s Doctors Hospital welcomed their first New Year’s baby – Isis Aleya Roper.

At 3651 Wheeler Road, Roper was born just over 7 pounds and approximately 20.5 inches tall.

“Welcome to the world and Happy New Year,” stated a press release from the Doctors Hospital.
