Doctors Hospital is hosting a Community Food Drive all day Thursday.

The hospital will set up a drive-thru at its Medical Office Building, 3623 J Dewey Gray Circle, where donations can be dropped off.

The drive is a benefit for Golden Harvest Food Bank, aiming to stock healthy food to offer those in the community facing hunger more nutritional options for themselves and their families.

“Most-wanted” items for the drive include canned goods such as meats, seafood and low-sodium vegetables, and fruit with no added sugar; dried beans, peas and lentils; whole grain pasta, rice, cereal and oats; nuts, nut butters and low sugar jams and jellies.

The food drive will start Thursday, April 27 at 7 a.m. and will continue through 7 p.m.
