In an effort to raise awareness about colorectal cancer prevention, Doctors Hospital is hosting a Colon Crawl on Thursday, March 20, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby at 3651 Wheeler Road.

A unique and educational event, attendees will have the opportunity to walk through a giant inflatable colon, an interactive exhibit designed to educate visitors about colorectal disease, including risk factors, symptoms and prevention strategies. The event is free and open to the public.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, making education and early detection crucial, according to a press release from Doctors Hospital.

By exploring the inflatable colon, participants can gain a deeper understanding of how the disease develops and how to reduce their risk through screenings and lifestyle choices.

The Colon Crawl aims to encourage community members to take proactive steps toward their health, including scheduling routine colonoscopies and adopting healthier habits.

For more information about the event, visit Doctors Hospital’s website or stop by the main lobby on March 20 to experience the Colon Crawl firsthand.
