The United States Golf Association, Masters Tournament and the Professional Golfers’ Association of America has recently announced the 2023-2024 Drive, Chip and Putt qualifying tournament open for registration.
Founded with the intent to introduce more youth to golf in a fun and welcoming environment, Drive, Chip and Putt will host its 10th qualifying season for boys and girls ages 7 to 15 starting in April. Registration is open to golfers of all skill levels and no prior experience is required to participate. Through online registration, parents can sign up and find a nearby qualifying location to participate.
The free program will focus on three important basic skills in golf – driving, chipping and putting.

With more than 340 sites nationwide, the event will continue through the summer and early fall until finalists are chosen to compete at the Augusta National Golf Club.
Divided by four age categories, scoring will center around development in golfers’ skills, and top performers at the local level will advance through subregional in July and August, and regional qualifiers in September and October.
This season’s 10 regional hosts include several United States Golf Association and Professional Golfers’ Association championship sites, such as: Scioto Country Club, TPC Boston, Aronimink Golf Club, Sea Island Golf Club, Champions Golf Club, Castle Pines, Desert Mountain, the Golf Club of Tennessee, Chambers Bay and TPC Deere Run.
Participants who advance through local, subregional and regional qualifiers in their age and gender division earn a spot in the National Finalists, which is conducted by the Augusta National Golf Club and broadcasted live by the Golf Channel.

The 80 national finalists, comprised of 40 girls and 40 boys from across the nation, will compete on Sunday, April 7, on the eve prior to the 2024 Masters Tournament.
By tapping into the creative and competitive spirits of youth, Drive, Chip and Putt aim to provide aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifying tournaments throughout the country.
