Richmond County authorities have custody of a North Augusta man accused of beating up his child’s mother, abducting their daughter and taking her to Tennessee.
Roberto Flores-Senovio, 27, was highly intoxicated on Saturday when the abuse and kidnapping occurred at a home on Birdie Court in Augusta, a sheriff’s report says.
The suspect came to the home drunk and belligerent, according to his child’s mother.
“Roberto started an argument with her and began striking her in the face with a closed fist to the face, striking her 2 or 3 times in her left eye and her forehead,” a sheriff’s report says. “After striking her, he grabbed her two-year-old daughter and left her residence.”
The woman waited four and a half hours before notifying Richmond County authorities, hoping he would return their daughter, the report says. Late Saturday, the woman called officers back to her home and said Flores-Senovio sent his location. He informed her to come get the child in Tennessee.
After his arrest, social service workers in Tennessee took custody of the child while the mother made arrangements to go get her.
Flores-Senovio was extradited back to Georgia on Tuesday and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center for kidnapping and battery. He has a listed address of Gardenia Court in North Augusta.
