Textron E-Z-GO LLC, a Textron company, will provide E-Z-GO vehicles to support competitors in the inaugural Optum Golf Channel Games, which will air live at 7 p.m. EST on Dec. 17 on Golf Channel and USA Network.

Some of the world’s top golfers will use customized E-Z-GO Freedom RXV ELiTE golf cars during the competition, according to a press release from E-Z-GO.

The event will feature the world’s top-ranked players, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, leading two four-man teams in timed, strategy-focused challenges designed for a primetime broadcast.

The competition will include a Timed Drive and Short Game contests, a 14-Club Challenge that requires players to use the full bag in a closest-to-the-pin format from the fairway, a Team Relay in which players alternate shots to complete a hole as quickly as possible, and a Captain’s Challenge between Scheffler and McIlroy.

The event will be broadcast from Trump National Golf Club Jupiter in Florida, according to a press release from E-Z-GO.

Adam Harris, vice president and general manager of E-Z-GO, said the company is honored to be part of the inaugural event and to have its vehicles featured during the competition.

The Freedom RXV ELiTE is designed to provide a premium on-course experience and features Samsung SDI lithium battery technology for a quiet, zero-emission and energy-efficient ride that requires no battery maintenance, according to a press release from E-Z-GO.

The vehicle also includes LED headlights and taillights, an ergonomic dash with storage space, and automotive-style pedals with IntelliBrake technology that automatically engages the service brake when the vehicle stops.

Additional options and accessories, including luxury seating, are available.
