Early morning shooting leaves one dead

An Augusta man is dead after an early morning shooting.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at the 100 block of Vanderbilt Drive at 2:44 a.m. Saturday. Deputies found one man dead with at least one gunshot wound.

According to an email from Coroner Mark Bowen, Nakendrick Dewayne Glover, 29, of the 2400 block of Amsterdam Drive was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
