Early voting for House District 125 special election to begin Jan. 22

Date: January 22, 2024

Early voting for the special election for the Georgia House of Representatives District 125 race will start later this month.

Early voting will take place from Jan. 22 – Feb. 9, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday voting will take place on Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All early voting will take place at the former Euchee Creek Library in Grovetown. 



Election Day is Tuesday, Feb. 13 and voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations in Columbia County:

010 – Kiokee Baptist Church

016 – Woodlawn Baptist Church

020 – Harlem Branch Library

022 – Harlem Senior Center

024 – Second Mt. Moriah Baptist Church

025 – the Former Euchee Creek Library

030 – Liberty Park

031 – Grovetown Methodist Church

032 – Greater Augusta Apostolic Church

033 – Grovetown DPS Station #2

034 – Grovetown Branch Library

040 – Eubank Blanchard Community Center

062 – Parkway Baptist Church

068 – Parkway Elementary School

075 – Belair Baptist Church

Only voters who are registered to vote at one of these precincts will be able to vote in the election. The deadline to register to vote is Jan. 16.

There are five candidates running in this race: CJ Pearson (Republican), Gary Richardson (Republican), Jim Steed (Republican), Kay Turner (Democrat) and John Turpish (Libertarian).
