In a dramatic and chaotic scene captured live on Facebook, gunfire erupted during street fights in Edgefield Friday morning, leaving three people injured and a 21-year-old man under arrest for attempted murder.

Jordan Malik Wright of Johnston has been charged with multiple counts, including attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, after a wild altercation that played out on social media and in the streets of Edgefield.

The violence unfolded around 10:41 a.m. on Walnut and Rosa Hill Streets, as a witness live-streamed a brawl between several women. In the video, women can be seen fighting for several minutes — punching, pulling hair, and shouting — as a crowd gathers. At one point, someone is heard complaining about pepper spray. Then, chaos erupts.

Street fights broadcast live on Facebook took a violent turn when a suspect began shooting, injuring three and leading residents to flee.

Gunshots ring out in rapid succession, sending bystanders fleeing. Amid the screaming, a woman can be heard shouting that she’s been shot.

When deputies arrived, they found out that three victims had already been rushed to hospitals in two separate private vehicles. One of the victims, shot in the chest, was airlifted in critical condition to Wellstar MCG in Augusta.

The victims have been identified as Moesha Hightower and Mysterious Morton — Wright’s girlfriend — both of whom were injured in the shooting. Wright himself was also injured and treated before being booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Augusta, where he awaits extradition to Edgefield County.

Edgefield County Sheriff Jody Rowland said officers recovered two bullet-riddled vehicles — a Nissan Murano and a gray Nissan Maxima — from the Edgefield County Hospital parking lot.

Another individual at the scene, Lasavion Johnson, was initially considered a possible suspect but is believed to have acted in self-defense. “I don’t think Johnson will be charged at this time,” said Sheriff Rowland.

This isn’t Wright’s first run-in with the law. He was previously charged in 2024 with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in Edgefield County.
