Kevin de l’Aigle is a man on a mission in more than just one way. His business regularly takes him all over the globe; but, he also finds time to volunteer to clean up downtown Augusta, and he recently launched a bid to run for the Augusta Commission.
Then a storm cloud hovered that caused de l’Aigle to rethink his plans.
Sadly, his family obligations, specifically his mother’s health, caused him to rethink his run for commission, and he decided to bow out of the race.
However, de l’Aigle is not leaving the race without making an endorsement for who he believes is the best candidate, apart from himself.
De l’Aigle says that after thoughtful consideration, he has decided to endorse Matt Aitken for the Augusta Commission district one seat, stating that Aitken knows the issues affecting district one best and he has a track record of voting in the best interests of his constituents.
“I believe that Matt is the right person at the right time for the job,” de l’Aigle said.
We applaud Kevin de l’Aigle for placing family first and civil obligations later, but we know that we have not seen the last of Mr. de l’Aigle.
He has another community clean-up initiative happening on May 18th at Magnolia Cemetery.
