Calling all Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer lovers.

Show us your best Rudolph for a chance to win four tickets to see the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Musical at the Bell Auditorium Dec. 11.

The play heading to the Bell Auditorium closely follows the stop-motion Rudolph television show that has aired annually since the 1964. It tells the tale of Rudolph and his adventures with the misfit toys, Hermey the elf who wants to be a dentist and the Bumble.

Children 12 and younger are invited to draw, paint, use clay or any medium they can think of to create a Rudolph. Snap a photo (jpeg please, no “live” iPhone files) along with the child’s name, city and age and email it to charmain@theaugustapress.com. No purchase is necessary. The drawing will be random from all the entries received.

The deadline for receipt of pictures is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7. The four-pack is courtesy of The Augusta Press and the Augusta Entertainment Complex. 

Photos of the submitted entries will be published on Dec. 11.

Charmain Zimmerman Brackett is a lifelong resident of Augusta. A graduate of Augusta University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, she has been a journalist for more than 30 years, writing for publications including The Augusta Chronicle, Augusta Magazine, Fort Gordon's Signal newspaper and Columbia County Magazine. She won the placed second in the Keith L. Ware Journalism competition at the Department of the Army level for an article about wounded warriors she wrote for the Fort Gordon Signal newspaper in 2008.
