A notification was sent out to Evans Elementary School parents today regarding a suspicious phone call made to the school that was later determined to be a spoof call.

Authorities currently believe the call came from a location near Atlanta, and they are actively investigating with the help of outside law enforcement agencies.

Out of caution, outdoor activities were briefly moved indoors for the remainder of the school day; however, the school was later alerted by law enforcement that the call was a spoof call.

A follow-up notification to parents stated that there is no active threat against the school at this time.

Outdoor activities have resumed.
