The Evans High School band will perform its fall band concert on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Evans High auditorium.
Band director Zachary Bradley said this year’s concert, titled “Ride,” reflects the excitement of the journey ahead.
“This year’s fall concert is entitled ‘Ride’ to celebrate the Evans High School band’s upcoming trip to London,” Bradley said. “The concert will feature music that celebrates travel and foreshadows our upcoming trip.”
Showcasing student musicianship
Bradley said events like the fall concert highlight the full scope of the band’s work beyond football season.
“As an educator, I want to give my students as many performance opportunities as possible,” he said. “Our concert programs are especially important because they show the community that we do way more than what they see on Friday nights at football games.”
Bradley also noted that every single member in the band gets to participate, making it a great opportunity for those to showcase their talents.
“Every student in the Evans band program participates in a concert band,” he said. “This is a great opportunity for us to show off what we are working on on a daily basis!”
A grand finale
Bradley highlighted that the concert will conclude with a bang.
“Our wind ensemble is the top performing ensemble at Evans High School,” Bradley said. “The closing piece, “Ride” by Samuel Hazo, will be a great ending to the concert!”
The free public concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Evans High School auditorium, 4550 Cox Road, Evans.
