Evans High School football defeated Greenbrier at home by a score of 28-7 on Friday, Sept. 2.

The Knights all played with heavy hearts after the mother of Evans’ football Coach Barrett Davis passed away Aug. 26. Evans and Greenbrier players and fans stood for a moment of silence in her honor Friday evening.

The Knights would look to add another score late in the second quarter, driving down inside the Wolfpack’s 5-yard-line, but time would expire before they could get the play off. Knights led 7-0 at the half.
