An Evans woman has been charged in a drug trafficking conspiracy, according to an indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court.
Kelsey Little, 26, of Evans is among seven Georgians who have been charged with possession with intent to distribute and distribution of fentanyl.

Little and the other six were the target of a multi-agency investigation that centered on Glynn and McIntosh counties. Operation Jump Start, as the investigation is named, was undertaken by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Forces which is focused on identifying those who are distributing heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and other illegal drugs in south Georgia, according to U.S. Attorney Bobby L. Christine. Christine is the U.S. attorney for the southern district of Georgia.
All seven defendants are charged in the 12-count indictment with conspiracy, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years in federal prison upon conviction. Neither indictments nor arrests carry any association of guilt.
“We are proud to collaborate with our network of law enforcement partners to target those who would distribute this poison in our communities,” Christine said. He explained that any sort of opioid, particularly synthetic analogues such as fentanyl, are extremely addictive and potentially deadly.
The investigation has been underway since 2019 when a source for Glynn County Police identified distributors of opioids and other drugs in Glynn and McIntosh counties.
