On Tuesday, Aug. 17, Bryan Stills, 26, was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison with no possibility for parole and ordered to pay $18,000 after pleading guilty in May to possession of over 1,000 videos and images of child pornography.

Court documents indicate that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children detected pornographic images of children being downloaded to an email account in October 2019 and contacted the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. Investigators with CID were then able to trace the account back to Stills who was training at Fort Gordon with the 369th Signal Battalion at the time.

Investigators seized all electronics belonging to the former private second class, and Stills was discharged from service.

Upon his release, Stills will be required to register as a sex offender and complete 15 years of supervised release.
