Facebook and Instagram down for thousands Tuesday morning

Tuesday morning thousands, if not more, of Facebook and Instagram users found themselves kicked out of the apps.

But they weren’t hacked. Instead, the apps had gone down for people all over the world.

Social media users flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) and TikTok to see if others were having the same issues.

According to a tweet from Andy Stone, communications with Meta, who owns Facebook and Instagram, they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

By the afternoon both platforms were working again There has been no word on when the platforms will be fully restored.
