Facebook Page Launched to Raise Awareness of Ongoing Investigations

Date: June 18, 2021

Murder is serious business in the CSRA.

A life is lost, a family is bereaved and law enforcement invests untold hours in trying to solve the crime. Tips from the community often shine new light on murder cases, and so do press investigations like the ones The Augusta Press staff are working on.

For several weeks now, The Augusta Press investigative staff has been looking into the 63 unsolved murders in Richmond County. We will extend our investigations to other area counties and municipalities when needed.

To aid our investigations, The Augusta Press has launched a Facebook page dedicated solely to our ongoing investigations of unsolved murders in the local area. We decided to create this page to facilitate the tips and inquires that have come in since we started posting stories about the murders of Natalie Clark, Jeremie Hammonds, Kayla Wells, Brandon Grubbs, James Bartell Smiley III and Jalen Parks.

If you have information related to one of the ongoing investigations, please send info to local law enforcement or The Augusta Press at (706) 834-8677.

Please visit https://www.facebook.com/AugustaInvestigations and be sure to like the page.
