Romans 1:18, Ephesians 5:6
How long and how far did America think it could go before God would judge her just like He did Israel in the Bible? In His sight, we are no one special. He has blessed us beyond measure but since this country has so terribly violated His Holiness, we are now experiencing His judgment. The spirit of death is now oppressing America because we have embraced a culture of death in that this country has allowed over sixty-five million children to be aborted since that heinous procedure became legal. Immorality has become viewed as normal. Sexual immorality has reached the point that some people don’t even know what sex they are. They get operations to reassign themselves to the sex they want to be and our government will pay for it in many instances. A doctor who cannot tell what sex a child is when he delivers it into the world is not a good doctor. He will do anything for money and use his skills to mutilate people physically in order to satisfy some crazy agenda. I ask the question again: How far do we think we can go before God will judge us harshly? Not enough space is available to chronicle the degree to which drugs has warped this nation physically, morally, spiritually and mentally. Anyone watching the news is witnessing only the beginnings of the extent to which God’s judgment can be applied until this country repents of the multitude of sins it has committed and even officially endorses. God is gracious and loving and will lift His judgment when and if America repents and stops violating Him just as He always restored Israel when they repented and rejected their sins. This same possibility is available to the U.S. if we recognize Him for Who He is and cease to live the rebellious lifestyle in which this nation is now wallowing.
One does not have to die and go to hell to be under God’s judgment. NO! Only those who are spiritually blind think that all is well and that God is not watching. Both of the passages of scripture I have mentioned above will tell a person that God’s judgment upon wickedness is not only for the hereafter but it is for the here and now also. In fact, man is practicing such gross sins that he is living under the judgment of God right now. The main reason that man is not afraid to commit such egregious acts is that they do not really believe that God is who He is and that He will punish sin because it violates His holiness. Additionally, a vast multitude of people do not believe that there is a hell and that they will go there if they violate God the way they are presently doing. Let me give you a Biblical example of those God says will not enter heaven. In Ephesians 5:3-6, He makes it easy for us to know those things that will damn our souls. He says that those who commit fornication, all uncleanness, covetousness (which is idolatry), filthiness, foolish talking, nor jesting, will enter the kingdom. In Revelation 21:8, He further tells us that the fearful, unbelieving and the abominable, murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolators and all liars will have their place in the lake which burneth with fires and brimstone, “which is the second death.”
So, if we read that list it makes it simple for us to understand that if we commit such things that only judgment waits for us. Can anyone deny that America is in deep trouble with God. And, those who say, “well there is no God” will find out in the twinkly of an eye that they were wrong. Too late then! I don’t have to go through the litany of things being accepted and committed in America today that God says will keep one out of heaven and eternal fellowship with Him. There is something new every day it seems. I wake up in the mornings thinking: “Well, what will it be today” and the world seems to always have something else which goes way beyond what the “surprise” was yesterday. But, that’s the way human nature is. It can never be satisfied. Something new and farther out on the edge has to be experienced or else humans will get bored with life. Satan finds fertile minds into which he can cast his most terrible thoughts and make them think that his suggestions are just the thing to do!
Now hear this! As previously stated, one does not have to go to hell to experience God’s judgment because in our verses of scripture we find that He exacts judgment in the present against sin just as He does so after one’s death. Listen to Romans 1:18…. ”For, the wrath of God is revealed (the Greek says ‘is being revealed’) from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” That’s very clear. We are experiencing God’s wrath daily as we live in rebellion against him. By our actions we are actually asking the God of this universe who has all power to bring judgment upon us. And the sad thing is that a multitude of these sins are supported by our government. That means that this nation is officially thumbing its nose at God. They had better find someone else to rebel against. This one won’t pay off and we are beginning to see the decline of America at the hand of our enemies. Sadly, many of the ones really doing us harm are within our own government. They are enemies within! God is trying to warn us with His Prophets and Preachers but the populace wants to ignore them. Many will go to church and shout “Amen” but then go right out and do the things that the preacher warned them about. And, God still has his Prophets who are trying to warn the public of where all of this is going but they are ignored just as they were in Biblical times. America would do good to listen. It will save them many years of decline and punishment at the hand of our enemies.
We must realize the God is SERIOUS. We may not listen, and we may be flippant about what is going on but God is SERIOUS. We, the Church, those redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, are equipped by God’s Spirit to live better than many of the people do. He notices and His judgment is coming. The world needs a strong witness to things on the horizon. God’s Word warns us and His Preachers and Prophets warn us as well. The ending isn’t good for the world system led by Satan but it is glorious for those who love God, believe that He is and that His Son Jesus provides forgiveness and protection for us.
We are watching America disintegrate under the influence of evil leaders and corrupt government. We are setting ourselves up for God’s Deserved Judgment.
