The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta has appointed Melanie Quick as its new vice president of memberships and mission advancement, the organization announced Tuesday.

Quick will lead membership strategy and mission-focused initiatives across the Greater Augusta area as the YMCA prepares to open an expanded North Augusta Family YMCA in summer 2026.

Construction is underway on the new facility at 406 E. Martintown Road, according to a press release from the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta

“Having grown up at the YMCA, I’m thrilled to join the YMCA in furthering its mission,” Quick said. “Our community deserves organizations that truly invest in their well-being, and I am honored to help lead this effort. The new North Augusta Family YMCA represents our next significant chapter of growth and commitment.”

The upgraded North Augusta branch will double the footprint of the existing location, providing additional space and resources for the growing community.

President and CEO Catie McCauley said the hire comes at a pivotal time for the organization, according to a press release from the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta
