A 45-year-old Aiken County man was killed Saturday night after crashing his vehicle on an interstate ramp in North Augusta, according to local authorities.

Albert Stroman Jr., of Salley, was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry when he struck a guardrail while exiting the I-20 ramp around 9:06 p.m., said Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables. Stroman was partially ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

A female passenger in the vehicle was not injured.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident. Toxicology results are pending, a press release says.
