Fatal wreck on Deans Bridge Road

A 55-year-old man from Mitchell was killed in a wreck on Deans Bridge Road on Thursday, April 11.

Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to what appears to be a chain-reaction automobile accident at 9:57 a.m. at the intersection of Deans Bridge Road and Cherokee Trail. Brian Wells was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was shut down for most of the day. No further details have been released.
