A viral video captured the shocking moment a car struck two people who were fighting in the parking lot of the Circle K at Lumpkin Road in Augusta.

The hit & run happened suddenly amid groups of young people fighting. It reportedly happened around dusk Friday night. It was captured on a witness video first posted on social media and reaching over 1,000 shares before being taken down.

A person in a yellow shirt appears to be tossed upside down and then on the ground before getting up and running toward a waiting vehicle. It’s unclear whether injuries were reported at the gas station, located at 2572 Lumpkin Road near Deans Bridge Road.

Near the end of the video, a female witness is heard yelling about a gun. “Hell no! That’s a gun! That’s a gun!” she says.

Richmond County authorities were made aware of the video, but sheriff’s Sgt. John Perry said late Friday that he had no information to share on the incident.
