Five Richmond County inmates have been charged in connection with Saturday’s bloody fight at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center that left four of them stabbed with homemade shanks.

Authorities say four inmates – Daieshawn Lanham, Quindarius Bussey, Lewis Wigfall, and Kendrick Green – got into an altercation with two other inmates, Antonio Bryant and Patrick Walters.

During the altercation Antonio Bryant, Patrick Walters, Daieshawn Lanham and Quindarius Bussey were all stabbed multiple times. All four injured inmates were transported to a local hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

“No inmates would provide information about the fight,” a sheriff’s report says.

Two homemade knives were found in the dayroom of Pod Room. One homemade knife was found in Wigfall’s room and Green’s room.

The incident apparently stemmed from an argument over the TV. At one point, Antonio Bryant pulled out a sock with a blunt object inside the sock and Patrick Walters pulled out a homemade knife, the report says. The fight followed.
