The Sports Center, 594 Broad St., Augusta received the lowest score of 74. Inspector’s comments included: “observed flies at the bar and throughout the establishment” and “observed an employee cooking at the grill without a hair restraint.”

Other inspector’s comments included: “observed no employee health reporting agreements,” “observed TCS foods (cheese & lettuce) improperly cold held above 41F,” “observed onions stored on the floor,” “observed the previous inspection not posted,” “observed no test strips for sanitizer being used,” and “observed build-up on the side of equipment.”
The second lowest score was an 82, which was received by Jamaica Way, 2650 Tobacco Road, Hephzibah. This score was received by the base and the mobile unit. Inspector’s comments included: “observed mold build-up in ice maker,” “observed TCS food in WIC not a 41F or below,” and “observed grease build-up on vents over the stove.”
The third lowest score was received by Panera Bread #4944, 245 Robert C. Daniel Parkway, Augusta with a score of 87. Inspector’s comments included: “observed build-up on several drink machines throughout the food service area,” “observed cantaloupe, milk, and cut greens stored past use-by dates,” “observed employees wearing watches and bracelets during active food prep,” “observed build-up on the shelving unit above the bread in the front food service area,” “observed the dumpster door left opened and drain plug missing,” and “observed mops sitting in buckets and on the floor.”
