Food Lion recognizes associates for their long-time dedicated service

Food Lion has recently announced that there are more than 350 associates who are celebrating more than 30 years of service, and two of these associates are from stores in the Augusta area.

Associates were honored on April 18 during an annual recognition ceremony and were presented with the Years of Service Award. At the event, each associate’s name, position, location, and service milestone were read aloud and celebrated. These associates have worked at Food Lion for more than 30 years.

“Recognizing the dedication and contributions of our associates who have served Food Lion for many years is a true honor for us,” said Meg Ham, Food Lion’s president. “Their commitment to excellence, care for our customers, and impact in the towns and cities we serve is invaluable. We are incredibly fortunate to have such passionate and dedicated associates who continue to make a positive difference every day.”

The following local associates were recognized with 35 years of service: Dana Barksdale, Store Manager (Sal Ex) from Augusta, Georgia and Kerry Yancey, Center Store Manager from Augusta, Georgia.

Food Lion employs 82,000 associates over 1,100 stores in 10 states.
